I have been in Wuhan, China over the past month planning the direction for ALVA. I have changed the focus to a creative focus rather than marketing focus. This blog is about my observation and attempt to paint the moments with words and photos :)

Over the weekend, we went to a Guizhou Duo Duo Noodles, hot and sour noodles made from potato starch and served in hotpot style with meat and veggetables.

When asked "Do you eat spicy?" use to anwer "No", but I must bring pride to my Malaysian bloodline, so I started saying "Yes".

As we dined, Taylor Swift's throwback playlist surrounds us along with the heat and spiciness from the pot. As I tilt my head grasping for oxygen, (from the food or singing We are never ever ever getting back together? I guess we'll never know :)

"Cute Cup with 30-40% ABV
"Cute Cup with 30-40% ABV

After the cup arrived, looking cute and harmless, the first sip was 70% ice, almost like an invitation to the unknown or perhaps the camouflage of how it uncovers love amongst friendship and life's humor as its converted.

How heavy is the polar bear? Enough to break the ice.

"By the way" the owner added, "this is 30-40% Alcohol, the after effect is stronger."

So my friend got one as the night went on with throwback Justin Bieber songs and late night snacks.

Wuhan has been a magical place, the pace is slower compared to Hong Kong, the sense of control in time is stronger, a haven for a creative mind. I shall use my time.
