Why do we Train?


Why do we train at the gym? Why do we lift heavy weights? Why do we challenge our body to its extreme? Why do we do what others would not do?

I am so tired. I have been working all day. I havent eaten yet. Maybe I should sleep instead. Maybe tomorrow.


There are tons of questions, tons of excuses, tons of negotiations we go through with our mind everyday.



So why do we train? Looking good, attracting female gaze, social media likes... these are superficial, they dont last.


We train because our mind is weak, as it encourages us to develop self-control, resilience, and the ability to overcome destructive emotions.


We train because our mind is weak, as it keeps us on track with our purpose and mission, regardless of what the mind whispers.


We train because our mind is week, as doing the hard thing is not easy, but it is good for us.

"We have to treat the body rigorously, so that it's not disobedient to the mind."- Seneca


Marcus Aurelius: "You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength".
